1 / Program Orientation
Learn about our missions, the Medical Reserve Corps (MRC), Fire Corps, and Community Emergency Response Team (CERT). If you do not want to do this online, we can do an in person training.
2 / CERT
The Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) program educates volunteers about disaster preparedness for the hazards that may occur where you live.
CERT trains volunteers in basic disaster response skills, such as:

Fire safety

Light search and rescue

Disaster medical operations

The CERT program offers a consistent, nationwide approach to volunteer training and organization that professional responders can rely on during disaster situations, allowing them to focus on more complex tasks.
3 / CPR/AED/First Aid
The purpose of the courses in the First Aid/CPR/AED program is to help participants recognize and respond appropriately to cardiac, breathing and first aid emergencies to know to give immediate care to a suddenly injured or ill person until more advanced medical personnel arrive and take over.

5 / Evacuation Hub Operations
When a mandatory evacuation order is issues our Team Members operate the Evacuation Hub in the county. This course provides the guidelines and procedures for setting up and running an Evacuation Hub.
6 / Shelter Operations
When an Emergency Shelter needs to be opened our Team Members operate the shelter 24/7. This course provides the guidelines and procedures for setting up, running, and closing a shelter during a disaster.
7 / CRASE
The Civilian Response to Active Shooter Events (CRASE) course, designed and built on the Avoid, Deny Defend (ADD) strategy developed by ALERRT in 2004, provides strategies, guidance and a proven plan for surviving an active shooter event.
8 / Until Help Arrives
Life-threatening emergencies can happen fast and emergency responders aren’t always nearby. You may be able to save a life by taking simple actions immediately. You Are the Help Until Help Arrives.
9 / POD (Point of Dispensing/Distribution) Operations
This course provides foundational knowledge on the basic concept of a POD, how to establish a POD, the basic principles of POD operations, and demobilization.
10 / Kids Preparedness Class
This course provides basic knowledge in how to be prepared for weather events, medical emergencies, fires, and more. Children and youth have unique abilities to prepare themselves as well as their families, schools, and communities. Children and youth are empowered through understanding risks and knowing how to protect themselves.
