Helping To Make Our Communities Safer Places To Live

Homeland Preparedness Project works with communities to develop citizen responders for emergencies and disasters.

If you are involved in a disaster, are you ready to take care of yourself, your family, and your neighbors? Do you know what to do to keep yourself safe and alive?

Our mission is to provide the basic knowledge to members of the community to keep them safe and help them to respond to emergencies.

By building community-based volunteer organizations of trained, prepared Teams, we help to make communities more resilient and able to recover from emergencies and disasters. Our Teams provide immediate neighborhood response when they are involved in an emergency and supplement uniformed responders on larger responses.

Get involved TODAY!

In preparation for the 2015 Hurricane Season, Homeland Preparedness Project and our Brazoria County partners are participating in a Regional Hurricane Exercise. This exercise will test our Evacuation Hub plans.

We need people to act as evacuees needing assistance traveling to safety.

As a part of this exercise, we will process travelers through our registration system and simulate loading coach buses.

The exercise will take place at the Lake Jackson Civic Center, 333 SH-332, Lake Jackson on FRIDAY, June 26th from 7:30 to Noon. Sign up HERE!
