Helping To Make Our Communities Safer Places To Live

Homeland Preparedness Project works with communities to develop citizen responders for emergencies and disasters.

If you are involved in a disaster, are you ready to take care of yourself, your family, and your neighbors? Do you know what to do to keep yourself safe and alive?

Our mission is to provide the basic knowledge to members of the community to keep them safe and help them to respond to emergencies.

IT'S NOT OVER!!!

Our response to Hurricane Harvey continues in Fort Bend and Brazoria Counties. We have been continuously operating the Brazoria County Shelter System for disaster survivors since August 24th. Our staff and dedicated volunteer Team Members have worked around the clock to provide for those who have no ohter place to go, and in many cases, lost everything they own. We also supported shelter operations in Fort Bend County.

During the storms, our Teams operated the Brazoria County Evacuation Hub and helped 100's of familes get to safety.

Our Immediate Disaster Case Managment Teams have been working throughout the community to help survivors connect with vital resources and start getting their lives back together.

We also operated a CrisisCleanup Hotline for 3 days to register survivors for assistance with cleanup of their homes.

Our Team Members are also actively engaged in Donations Management activities in Fort Bend and Brazoria Counties.

There is a LONG way to go before this response is over for our Teams and the survivors.

PLEASE HELP US TO CONTINUE OUR MISSION! VOLUNTEER! DONATE! SPREAD THE WORD!

By building community-based volunteer organizations of trained, prepared Teams, we help to make communities more resilient and able to recover from emergencies and disasters. Our Teams provide immediate neighborhood response when they are involved in an emergency and supplement uniformed responders on larger responses.
